  36. This Application Note includes a floppy disk containing a run-time
  37. edition of Microsoft Video version 1.1a for Windows. This maintenance
  38. release provides the following improvements and corrections:
  39.    
  40.     - Simultaneous playback of two .AVI files has been improved.
  41.    
  42.     - Playback of loosely interleaved or noninterleaved files with
  43.       NetWare(R) Video has been improved.
  44.    
  45.     - The compression algorithm has been changed to fully meet the
  46.       official Interactive Multimedia Association's adaptive-
  47.       differential-pulse-code-modulation (ADPCM) format
  48.       specifications.
  49.    
  50.     - Performance of video playback has been improved, which corrects
  51.       a problem that causes shaky playback.
  52.    
  53.     - The general protection (GP) fault problem has been corrected.
  54.       This problem occurs when you click embedded Video 1.1 for
  55.       Windows media objects in object linking and embedding (OLE) 2.0
  56.       clients.
  57.    
  58.     - A slight memory leak that occurs with embedded objects has been
  59.       corrected.

  61. Installing the Run-Time Edition of Video 1.1a for Windows
  62. ---------------------------------------------------------

  64. Do the following:
  65.  
  66. 1. Insert the enclosed WV1019 disk in the appropriate floppy disk
  67.    drive.
  68.  
  69. 2. In Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu and type
  70.  
  71.       <drive>:\setup
  72.  
  73.    where <drive> is the floppy disk drive containing the WV1019 disk.
  74.    Press ENTER.
  75.  
  76. The Setup program will install the run-time edition of Video 1.1a for
  77. Windows.
